Funding for Continuous Professional Development
The West Kent Education Network (WKEN) will consider funding applications for CPD that support the key priorities of Local Care, focusing on providing care closer to home.
Examples of funding that maybe considered for approval where the applicant and their line manager are able to articulate a benefit in service delivery to the local population and meet the key priorities are:-
|Enhancing Health & Wellbeing||Quality & Service Improvement in Healthcare|
|Research Approaches & Methods||Managing Risk|
|Leadership||Consultation & Clinical Examination|
|Mental Health & Wellbeing||Prevention & Public Health|
|Dementia Care||Decision Making in Professional Contexts|
|Contraception & Sexual Health||Supporting People with Long Term Conditions|
|Teaching & Assessing in Practice||Pain Management|
Examples of Exclusions for CPD Funding:-
|Statutory/Mandatory Training||Refreshments, Venue Hire & Travel|
|Individual Personal Development||Backfill Costs|
All applications for Mentorship and Facilitation of learning will be agreed unless funding is not available.
Applications for chronic disease management will be considered if study will be undertaken at Level 6 or above.
If an application is received by non-mentors, the first request will be granted with the condition that the applicant becomes an active mentor before further funding will be considered.
